Install Lamp Assemblies
Refer to Figure 35 (which depicts the LH lamp assembly from
above front left, and in simulated mirror view from rear -
it also shows the cable lead exiting at the bottom)

Select one each:
890-311C DUAL AG LIGHTS LH
890-312C DUAL AG LIGHTS RH
10. As the lamp assemblies may not have obvious
Great Plains part numbers, determine which is LH
(Left) and which is RH by inspection.
When installed,
the flat base is toward the drill,
the amber lenses
are on top,
the red lens is at bottom rear, and
the blank filler panel is at bottom front.
11. Select the LH lamp assembly .
Refer to Figure 36 (which depicts two possible style of bases -
your assemblies may have either, but the style shown at left is
most common)
12. Dress the cable lead to exit the base at the bottom
or front center .
13. Select two:
801-081C SCREW HEX SELF TAP 1/4-20X3/4
The lamp assembly has six open screw holes in the
base. Align the end center holes
with the seed box
mounting holes. Secure with self-tapping screws .
Tighten only to Grade 2 torque.
14. Mate the lamp lead to the Y-harness lead .
15. Repeat step 12 through step 14 for the RH lamp
assembly .
16. If a tractor is available, connect the hitch harness
(not shown on this page) to the tractor light outlet,
and test the lights (turn indication in particular).
Secure Harness
17. Check harness routing for clearance from chains,
sprockets and shafts.
18. Select four locations for cable ties. Clean and dry flat
surfaces large enough for the cable tie mounts .
19. Select four sets:
800-112C CABLE TIE .19X7.25 1.75D 50LB
800-148C CABLE TIE MOUNT
Remove the release paper from a mount base.
Press the mount firmly onto the tie down spot.
Secure the harness to the mount with a cable tie
.
