Section 3 Adjustments

Chain from Clutch to Gearbox Jackshaft
1.
Check the tension. Chain should have 1” to 1 7/8”
slack at the midpoint, refer to Figure 3-14. Loosen the
bolt holding the idler sprocket and move the sprocket
in slot to adjust. Tighten bolt.
Chain from Gearbox Output to Meterbox
Refer to Figure 3-15:
1.
Check the tension. The chain should have 1 1/4” slack
at the midpoint.
2. If adjustment is needed, loosen the bolt holding the
idler sprockets and move sprockets to adjust. Re-
tighten the bolts.
Clutch Output Chain Adjustment

Electric Clutch Height Switch
Instructions for adjusting height switch are in the imple-
ment manual. This switch must be properly adjusted to al-
low seed meters to run.
