Back-Panel Indicators

 

Indicators are on the system's back panel for the 250-W power supply (see

Figure 3

-2

) and the integrated NICs (see

Figure 3

-3

). An indicator is not on the

230-W power supply.

Table 3

-2

details the conditions associated with each back-panel LED indicator code.

Any flash pattern or color indicates a system error. See "

LAN 1 and

LAN 2

 

Steady green indicates the system is

connected to the network through the LAN
1or LAN 2 connector.

 

Flashing green indicates activity between

the system and other devices on the
network.

 

Off indicates the system is disconnected from the network or the LAN 1 or LAN 2 connector is

not working properly.

 

Hard drive

operation

 

Green indicates the hard drive is installed

in the drive bay and working.

 

Amber indicates a hard-drive error. While a hard-drive may be inserted in the drive bay, there

may be a problem with either the drive or a volume on the drive. The amber/green flash pattern
indicates that the RAID for this hard drive is being rebuilt.

 

Hard drive

Flashing amber indicates the hard drive is

active.

 

Not applicable.

 

 

 

On software RAID systems, solid amber indicates that a software RAID volume has failed.

 

 

 

On hardware RAID systems, solid amber indicates that a disk has failed.
