Follow the instructions in

2.

Close the display and turn the computer over.

 

3.

Remove the bottom of the base assembly (see

).


 

4.

Remove the hard drive (see

).


 

5.

Remove the optical drive (see

Removing the Optical Drive

).


 

6.

Remove the fan with the thermal-cooling assembly (see

).


 

7.

Remove the LED cover (see

)


 

8.

Remove the keyboard (see

).


 

9.

Remove the hinge covers (see

10.

Remove the display assembly (see

Removing the Display Assembly

).


 

11.

Turn the computer over and remove the 10 M2.5 x 5-mm screws and one M2.5 x 8 screw.

 

12.

Turn the computer top-side up and remove the four M2.5 x 5-mm screws labeled "P".

 

13.

Lift off the thermal plate.

1 M2.5 x 5 screws (10) 2 M2.5 x 8 screw
