Hard-Drive Features
The C8000XD storage sled is available with 12-drive or 24-drive option. All
hard-drives are mounted in special hard-drive carriers and connect to the
hard-drive backplane inside the sled.
• Standard hard-drive carrier supports 3.5-inch SAS/SATA/SSD hard-drive.
• Flexible hard-drive carrier supports 2.5-inch SAS/SATA/SSD hard-drive.
• Expansion hard-drive carrier supports two 2.5-inch SSD hard-drives.
The 12-drive configuration installs 12 standard or flexible hard-drive carriers.
The 24-drive configuration installs 12 expansion hard-drive carriers. See
"Hard-Drive Indicator Patterns" on page 10 for information on the hard-drive
indicators on the sled. Different patterns are displayed as drive events occur
in the sled.
