Close the scanner cover.

 

Making Copies

 

1.

Load the document(s) face up, with the top edge of the document first into the ADF.

OR

Place a single document face down on the scanner glass.

2.

Customize the copy settings including the number of copies, Zoom, and contrast by selecting the copy menu and using the operator panel buttons. See

Setting Copy Options

To clear the settings, use the Cancel (V) button.

If necessary, you can use special copy features, such as Clone or ID copying. See

Using Special Copy Features

4.

Press Start (u) to begin copying. The display shows the copy processing.

 

Setting Copy Options

The Copy menus on the operator panel let you customize all the basic copy options; number of copies, Zoom, and contrast. Set the following options for the
current copy job before pressing Start (u) to make copies.

 

Number of Copies

You can select the number of copies from 1 to 99.

 

1.

Press Scroll (<>) to select Copy and press Select (P).

 

2.

Press Scroll (<>) to access # of Copies and press Select (P).

 

NOTE:

If you are copying a page from a book or magazine, lift the cover until its hinges are caught by the stopper and then close the cover. If the book

or magazine is thicker than 30 mm, copy with the cover open.

NOTE:

Leaving the cover open while copying may affect the copy quality and toner consumption.

NOTE:

A computer connection is not required for copying.

NOTE:

Contaminates in the ADF or on the scanner glass may cause black vertical lines or black spots on the printout. For best results, clean the ADF and

the scanner glass before use. See

NOTE:

You can cancel the copy job at any time. Press Cancel (V) to stop copying.

NOTE:

If you press Cancel (V) while you set the copy options, all of the options you have set for the current copy job may be cancelled and return to

their default status. Or, they automatically return to their default status after copying.
