Checking the Engine Oil Level

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage.
●ALWAYS check the oil level before day's

operation. If the oil level is low, a serious engine
problem can occur.

●ALWAYS check the oil level before operation.
●ALWAYS check the oil level when the engine is

cold and not running.

●ALWAYS maintain the oil level between the lower

and the upper marks.

●ALWAYS shut the engine down and allow to cool

before adding the engine oil.

1. Park the tractor safely and securely.
2. Open the hood.

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage.
●Prevent dirt and other contaminants from entering

the engine. Clean the area around the dipstick
before removing it.

3. Remove the dipstick. Clean the dipstick blade

with a clean paper towel or shop rag.

4. Insert the dipstick completely.
5. Remove the dipstick again.
6. Check the oil level on the dipstick. The oil level

should be kept between the lower and the upper
marks on the dipstick.

7. If the oil level is low:

(1) Remove the oil fill cap.
(2) Refill the specified oil until the oil level reaches

between the lower and upper marks.

(a) Upper mark
(b) Lower mark

NOTE:
●NEVER overfill the engine with oil.

8. If the oil level exceeds the upper mark, drain the

oil to a proper level.

9. Replace the dipstick.
10.Close the hood.
