Connecting a Phone Line
You need to connect a phone line to take advantage of online services, the
Internet, and Sony Online Support.
^ In order to register your Sony VAIO Notebook Computer, register your software online, and
use Sony Online Support, you must connect to a phone tine. Also, you must register your
computer to receive the extended warranty.

Pull the PC card release buttons away from the computer.

Plug one end of the phone cable into the phone line jack on the
computer.

Plug the other end into the wall jack.
Your computer does not work with party lines, cannot be cormected to a coin-operated
telephone, and may not work with multiple phone lines or a private btanch exchange (PBX).
