Dividing recorded

tracks

Divide Function

You can use this function to add track
numbers to multiple tracks that are recorded
as one track. This function also lets you mark
track numbers. The total number of tracks

increases by one and all the tracks following
the new division are automatically
renumbered.

Eg.: Dividing track 2 into tracks B and C.

Press FUNCTION repeatedly until
"MD" appears in the display.

Press MENU/NO.

"Edit Menu" appears

Turn the jog dial until "Divide ?"

appears, then press ENTER/YES.

Turn the jog dial to select the track
you want to divide, then press
ENTER/YES.

"-Rehearsal-" appears and the portion to

be divided set in step 2 is played
repeatedly.

While monitoring the sound, turn

the jog dial to find the point to
divide the track.

When you turn the jog dial, frame (f V 86
second), second (s), and minufes (m) are
displayed. The dividing point moves in
increments of 1 frame.

To adjust the dividing point in
increments of 1 second or 1 minufes,
press / ►► to flash the unit by which
you want to shift (s or m), then turn the

jog dial to shift the point.

Press ENTER/YES again when you

find the point where you want to
divide the track.

"Complete!!" appears for a few seconds

and the newly created track begins
playing. When the original track is
labelled, the second track will have no
track title.
