S Settings in the System Setup
menu usually need to be adjusted
only once — during the initial setup
of the DTV system.
The System Setup menu includes the following options:
Option
Caption Vision
Tilt Correction
Description
Allows you to select from three closed caption modes (for
programs that are broadcast with closed caption).
CC1, CC2, CCS, CC4:
Displays a printed version of the dialog or
sound effects of a program. (Should be set to
CC1
for most
programs.)
TEXT1, TEX12, TEXT3, TEXT4:
Displays network/station
information presented using either half or the whole screen.
XDS
(Extended Data Service): Displays a network name, program
name, program length, and time of the show if the broadcaster
offers this service.
^ Use the DISPLAY button to display Caption Vision while viewing programs.
Vertical Correction
Allows you to make a vertical correction to the picture within the
TV screen.
Move the joystick right or left to choose a correction between +10
and -10 and press the button.
Allows you to correct any tilt of the picture.
Move the joystick up or down to choose a correction between +10
and -10 and press the button.
