Other Information
TV is fixed to one
channel
□ Use Auto Program in the Channel Setup menu to add receivable channels
that are not presently in DTV memory (see page 47).
Double images or
ghosts
□ Use a highly directional outdoor antenna or a cable (when the problem is
caused by reflections from nearby mountains or tall buildings).
Cannot operate menu
U If the item you want to choose appears in gray, you cannot select it.
Cannot receive any
channels when using
cable TV
J Use DTV Auto Add in the Channel Setup menu to add receivable channels
that are not presently in DTV memory (see page 47).
Cannot gain enough
volume when using a
cable box
□ Increase the volume at the cable box. Then press TV (FUNCTION) and adjust
the DTV's volume.
Cannot receive
digital channels

Make sure that a terrestrial antenna is cormected to the DTV receiver
(page 19). You carmot receive digital channels unless you connect a
terrestrial antenna. This is true even if you normally receive your
programming through cable or satellite.

Check your local listings to find out if you can receive digital broadcasts in
your area.
Unable to select a
digital channel
□ Use DTV Auto Add in the Channel Setup menu to add receivable DTV
channels that are not presently in DTV memory (see page 47).
No picture on a digital
channel
□ Switch to a different digital charmel.
□ The program's alternate video source (such as an alternate camera angle)
may be malfunctioning. Press ALTERNATt VIDEO on the remote control to
choose a different video source.
No sound on a digital
channel
□ Check the Cable setting in the System Setup menu (see page 47).
□ The program's alternate audio source (such as an alternate commentator)
may be malfunctioning. Press ALTERNATE VIDEO on the remote control to
choose a different audio source.
