Image quality mode and number of images

The number of images that can be stored for each mode when using a 2MB CF card

is as shown below.
ECONOMY: 47 images
NORMAL 23 images
FINE:

11 images

• These numbers can be used as a guideline, assuming all the images are captured in the same

quality mode.

• Depending on the composition of your pictures, you may be able to take more images. (In

some cases, the number of remaining images that can be captured does not decrease after an
image is captured.)

• You will be able to capture more images if you use a CF card with more capacity (4MB, or

15MB).

Notes/Tips

You can select one of the three modes
below.
Select the mode most appropriate to your

needs.

ECONOMY
Use this mode when you want to take

several pictures in one session. The number
of images that can be taken increases, but

the images are captured at a lower resolution
than those for NORMAL or FINE mode.

NORMAL

This is a standard image quality.

FINE

This is a high resolution image mode,

however, the number of images that can be

captured decreases.

You can change the image quality mode
while you are taking pictures. Although only a
guide, you can use the following calculations
to estimate the remaining number of images
that can be taken. One image in FINE mode

represents 2 images in NORMAL mode, and

4 images in ECONOMY mode.
