14.2 Rating plate
The rating plate with the connection and performance data can
be founded on the back of the device.
15 Operation and Handing
This chapter provides you with important notices with regard to
operating the device. Observe the following notices to avoid
dangers and damages:
15.1 Zip Bags
For vacuuming please use intended for this device bags with a
plug valve only. The plastic foil of these specific vacuuming
films is different from ordinary plastic wraps.
15.2 Vacuuming boxes
For vacuuming please use intended for this device boxes with a
plug valve only.
Do not vacuum hot liquids; cool them down in the refrigerator
beforehand.
Do not freeze boxes. The lowest temperature should be -18°C.
Too low temperatures (below -18°C) and temperatures above
100°C make the material perish or melt.
Wash the cover plate and the vacuuming box by hand only.
Never put the boxes to the dishwasher, either the microwave.
In order to clean the adapters and caps release them from the
device and rinse them with warm water.
Fine grained or powderous foods shall be covered with a paper
towel before vacuuming, in order not to intrude the vacuum
sealer.
Tins cannot be vacuum packed.
▪ If liquids are caught in the accessory hose, run warm water
through hose. Be sure hose is not attached to accessory port.
▪ Powdered or granulated foods should be covered with a paper
towel before vacuuming to prevent food from traveling into the
vacuum mechanism.
▪ Vacuum packaging is not a substitute for canning. Perishable
foods still need to be refrigerated or frozen.
