3.4.3 Alarm Output Configuration

The alarms for the 6703 are output-only through a data bus to the rear panel on a UCS 1001 or 1040
standalone enclosure, or to the CIM in the same chassis, which routes any alarm to an external alarm.

You can set each alarm condition to Major, Minor, or Off. To set the alarms, see Figure 9 and
Table 3, and follow these steps:

1. From the System Configuration menu type

, "Alarm Output Configuration," and press <Enter>.

The Alarm Output Configuration screen appears.

2. Type the number for the alarm you want to set and press <Enter>; for items 4, 5, and 6, press

<Tab> to cycle between Local, Remote Active, and Remote Inactive.

3. Press <Space> to cycle to Major, Minor, or Off, and press <Enter>.
