The taskbar disappears

Confinn that [Auto hide] setting is off, the taskbar was not resized or the taskbar was not

moved to the side of the display.

The taskbar can be made to aooear bv switching to the taskbar bv oressine

(Alt ] + (Tab ).

Even though the taskbar is set to [Always on top], a window may be displayed in front of

it.

# Hibernation Function

Impossible to enter the hi­

bernation mode

Close all applications and try the hibernation function again. If you continue to experi­

ence problems, restart the computer and try hibernation function again.

Reinstall [Advanced Power Management] with the following procedure.

0Click [Start] - [Settings] - [Control Panel], and then double click [System].

©Click [Device Manager], select [Advanced Power Management Support] in [System

Devices], and then click [Remove].

©When the confirmation message appears, click [OK], and then click [Yes] to restart the

computer.

©Double click [Add New Hardware] in [Control Panel].

©Click [Next] in the [Add New Hardware Wizard] screen and then click [Next] again.

©Select [No, the device isn’t in the list] and then click [Next].

©Select [Yes (Recommended)] and then click [Next].

©Click [Next].

©Click [Details], confirm the display of the [Advanced Power Management Support]

message, and then click [Finish],

©Restart the computer.

Display

The screen has disappeared

The power of the display may switch off with the Power Management function. In such

cases, press any key or move the mouse to return to the original display.

The computer may enter the hibernation mode with the Power Management function. In

such cases, press the power switch to return to the original display.

An afterimage appears(i,e.,

green, red, and blue dots

remain on the display) or

there are dots not display­
ing the correct colors

If an image is displayed for a prolonged period of time, an afterimage may appear. This is

not a malfunction. The afterimage will disappear when a different screen is displayed.

High-precision and advanced technologies are necessary in the production of color liquid

crystal displays (color LCDs). Therefore, if 0.002 % or less of the picture elements cither

fail to light or remain constantly lit (that is, more than 99.998 % of elements are functioning

properly), no defect is considered to exist.

The motion of the mouse
cursor is not smooth

Select [Start] - [Settings] - [Control Panel] - [Mouse] - [Motion] and add the check mark for

[Show pointer trails].
