Reinstalling Software

When the contents on the hard disk have been corrupted, it is possible to return the computer to

close to the conditions at time of purchase.

When the hard disk is reinstalled, the application programs and data you installed will be

erased. Be sure to back up all programs and data beforehand._____________________________________________^

Before Reinstallation

If data on your hard disk is compressed, uncompress the data.

When compressed files cannot be uncompressed because Windows cannot be started up,

select [1. Restore the whole HDD to factory default] in Step

3

of “Reinstallation” (below).

Turn the computer on

When [Press <F2> to enter SETUP] message is displayed, press

Set the Product Recovery CD-ROM in the DVD-ROM drive

Restart the computer by pressing [ Ctrl) + [ Alt] + (Del ]

When the [Panasonic] logo is displayed in the center of the
screen, press Î Esc]

Select [2. DVD Drive] using the m and CE) keys from the

[Startup menu], and then press Î Enter]

Make a selection from the menu

• To restore all contents of the hard disk to factory default, including the partition

setting(s):

Select [1. Restore the whole HDD to factory default].

(When changing the partitions from the factory set partitions, be sure that the C drive

partition is set to over 2 GBytes.)

• To restore the hard disk (C drive) to factory default, excluding the partition

setting(s):

Select [2. Restore the drive C to factory default].

• To stop the reinstallation:

Select [3. End].
