Symptoms
Checks
Some parts of the screen do not
light up
The plasma display panel is manufactured using an extremely high level of
precision technology, however sometimes some parts of the screen may be
missing picture elements or have luminous spots. This is not a sign of a
malfunction.
Afterimages appear
If still video images or computer images are displayed for long periods of time, an
afterimage may appear. In such cases, display an image which has some degree
of movement in it to reduce having afterimages appear.
