If a busy tone is heard, the telephone number

dialed is applied to LINE 1.

If the unit rings and the LINE 2 indicator

flashes red, the telephone number dialed is
applied to LINE 2.

Replace the handset.

Checking the telephone number applied to each line

When the unit is connected to 2-line telephone jack or two single line telephone jacks, follow these steps to
check the telephone number for each line.

Press [LINE 11.

•The line indicator lights green.

Lift the handset.

Dial one of the telephone numbers.

Note;
•There is a difference on their features between line 1

and line 2 (see “Different line features” on page 16).

If the dialed telephone number is not applied to the

desired line, change the setting of the line as shown

below.

To switch telephone numbers

between line 1 and line 2

■ When the unit is connected to 2-line telephone

jack (RJ14C) as shown on page 25:

Change the setting of the LINE CHANGE feature

(p. 37).

■ When the unit is connected to two single line

telephone jacks (RJ11C) as shown on page 26:
Change the connections of two telephone lines each
other at the wall jacks.
