Receiving Faxes
FAX ONLY mode ring count
This setting determines the number of rings before the unit answers a call in the FAX ONLY mode.
You can set the number of rings for each line.
Line 1: Choose from 1 to 5 rings. If you use the unit with an answering machine, select “5 EXT.TAM”
(p. 82-84).
Line 2: Choose from 1 to 4 rings.
Helpful hints:
•To answer a call before the unit does, increase the number of rings.
• If you have difficulty receiving faxes, the other parties may have tried to send faxes before confirming if your
unit answered or not. Decrease the number of rings.
