Activating the FAX ONLY mode on line 1

If the AUTO ANSWER light is off, turn it on by pressing

[AUTO ANSWER].

•The display will show the following.

•The number of rings before a call is answered can be

changed (p. 81).

If you have a telephone line just for receiving faxes, we recommend the

following setup.

Example: One telephone line is used for voice calls and a separate telephone line for faxes. If someone

sends a fax to Line 1, the fax machine will ring according to the FAX ONLY mode ring count setting

(p. 81).
