Disposal
The main purpose of the 2002/96/EEC Directive is to prevent the creation of waste
electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and to reduce the amount of waste to
be disposed of by encouraging reuse, recycling, and other forms of recovery. The
pictogram of a crossed-out wheelie bin means that the equipment may not be thrown
out with the household refuse, but must be specially collected. The equipment has
to be given to a suitable collection point for processing. By doing so, you will be
contributing to the safeguarding of natural resources and health.
Batteries must be disposed of in compliance with relevant national regulatory
requirements.
