Advanced Audio Connection Information

With the audio versatility of your HDT\y you can t:hoose various connectiftn ftptions depending
on the type and quality of soutul that you want, From good to best sound, choose one of the
options or refer to the user’s matiual of each device that you are connecting to get the best

Connecting Your TV to an Audio/Video Receiver

For better sound tjuality than the Ws internal speakers, t:onnect to an audio retieiver using audio
cables to the TV’s AUDIO Oi..JTPUT jacks.

you want the FIXEDAARIABLF. AUDIC) OUTPUT jacks to send fixed or variable volume audio,

• Variable Output provides variable-level audio (.iutput. Volume levels are ctintrolled by the

T\”s volume.

• Fixed Output provides fixed-level audio output from the TVs This audio output is ideal for

connecting to an A.-V rec:eiver that has its own volume control.

If you own a receiver with ’'’Dolby'--’ Digital decoding (.>r PCM (PuLse-Code Modulation) that uses an

optical cable-type input, connect an optical cable for excellent audio tjuality.
