15.1.2 Sending Variable Frequencies
To send a Variable frequency, select the VF TESTS option from the CABLE TESTS pop-up menu. Select
SEND TONE from the VF TESTS sub-menu. To continue, press RUN/STOP.

The VF TEST menu has the following configuration option.
TEST TYPE: Select SEND TONE
TERM IMP: 600 ohms (or 100, 150 ohms if your unit does not have 600 ohms installed).
Level (dBm): Level can be set from –16 dBm to +18 dBm. Use the asterisk key ( * ) to toggle
between minus ( - ) and plus ( + ) symbols.
Frequency Mode: Allows user to select from SPOT, VARIABLE, TX 3 TONE SLOPE and TRACING
TONE.
