If you wish to further improve the pattern, stop the execution by pressing the Start/Stop key. Select a new quantize
value and listen to the newly modifi ed RIFF agin. You can continue until the patterns sounds perfect.

USER STYLE PLAYBACK

Press the START/STOP button to start the User Style

Note: If the user style you have recorded includes less then 4 Variations, ensure that the
leds corresponding to the Variations are ON. If they are not, no sound will be heard.

Play on the keyboard using normally your User Style

MODIFYING A USER STYLE:

Overdub, Quantize, Clear Note, Clear RIFF, Clear Tempo, Clear All Style

Various options are available to modify your User Style. You can apply changes as
soon as you have fi nished recording a RIFF or a Style.

Once fi nished to record a RIFF, do not exit the RECORD MODE

If you are not in Record mode, press the RECORD key to enable the mode,
then use the +/- buttons to select the RIFF you wish to modify. Select the
desired track by pressing the corresponding Function (F1/F5) key. Your
style can now be modifi ed.

The following modifi cation options are possible:

Set the RIFF in RECORD MODE

Stop the recording and repeat the procedure in each track you wish to modify

Play the notes you wish to add to the pattern. These will be added (overdub) the existing ones

QUANTIZE

The QUANTIZE function self-corrects timing recording errors. In other words, small possible imper-
fections are trimmed and corrected, and the beats are made homogeneous within a bar, according
to the fi xed Quantize value

Select and play the RIFF you wish to correct, then press the QUANTIZE
button. The playback stops and the RIFF, track and current quantize value
are shown in the display.

Use the CURSOR button to move to the QUANTIZE parameter, and the
TEMPO/DATA buttons to select a new value

Press the START/STOP button to listen to the corrected RIFF

Press the ENTER button twice to confi rm your edit

Apply this procedure to any RIFF you wish to modify.

CLEAR NOTE

If you detect some wrong notes in a RIFF, you can clear them. Up to 5 notes can be cleared at the same time.

Select the RIFF you wish to correct, then press the CLEAR btton

Select the track you wish to modify by pressing the relative Function button

In our example some note will de deleted from the DRUM track.

While the RIFF is playing, check on the beat counter the point where are
positioned the notes you wish to clear

Press the keyboard note you wish to cancel just a little below the estab-
lished point.

Stop the pattern by pressing the START/STOP button

Press the ESCAPE button twice to exit the CLEAR mode
