After selecting all the 16 tracks with the PAGE

button

, the display shows

the COMMON and CHORD tracks and the respective MIDI channel numbers.
Select the MIDI channel you wish to assign to COMMON and to CHORD chan-
nels (if you are using a MIDI accordion, refer to the MIDI chapter of the Own-
ers Manual).

MIDI

CHANNEL - LOCAL- INTERNAL - G.MIDI - START/STOP- CHN.LOCK - DUMP

Modifi cations to CHANNEL and LOCAL can be saved in the Performance.

This function assign the MIDI channel to each track. Press ENTER to enable the
function

CHANNEL

The 3-digit display indicates the number of the MIDI channel assigned to the
track (e.g.: C01= channel 1), while the 8-digit display indicates the track
number. Use the + /– buttons to select the track.

The TEMPO/DATA buttons control the MIDI channel number to assign to the
track (1-16) as well as the track OFF status. Use the Function buttons (F1/F8),
for fast tracks selection.

Press ESCAPE to exit the CHANNEL mode and return to the MIDI selection
page.

Continue the parameters selection using the TEMPO/DATA buttons.

The LOCAL (ON/OFF) Function control whether wk1000 keyboard should control the sound gen-
eration of each section.It is possible to disable each track from the sound generation.

MIDI LOCAL

The track number appears in the display. Use the F9 Function button to toggle
between Group A tracks (01-08) to Group B tracks (09-16).

Press ENTER to enable this track function

Use the TEMPO/DATA buttons to set the track ON/OFF status, and the CUR-
SOR button to select the tracks.

Press ESCAPE to exit the CHANNEL mode and return to the MIDI selection
page.

Continue the parameters selection using the TEMPO/DATA buttons.

INTERNAL

When wk1000 is active, it is controlled by the internal CLOCK; this device sets and maintains the set
Tempo. If you wish to exclude the internal CLOCK, the Tempo followed by wk1000 will be set by the
computer or external sequencer (CLOCK EXT), connected to wk1000 MIDI IN port; in this case, use
the TEMPO/DATA keys to select the EXTERNAL mode.

If wk1000 is set to General MIDI ON, the instrument becomes compatible with all MIDI Files that are
loaded to the memory. If you wish to communicate via MIDI with instruments that are not General
MIDI compatible, it is advisable to set wk1000 to General MIDI OFF position. To enable General-
music standard (GMX) it is necessary to set General MIDI to OFF. In this way all the Sound banks
and all the 44 effects provided by wk1000 will be at your disposal when programming your music
backings.

G.MIDI

Enabling the START/STOP function, WK1 will start as soon as the START command will be sent by an ex-
ternal MIDI device: computer, sequencer. Use the TEMPO/DATA key to toggle between ON and OFF.
