API / VCOM Commands

Introduction

API

= Application programming interface. Standard industry term for how software components should interact.

Installing API / VCOM Drivers

In order to access and communicate with the HT B22 computer unit, it may or may not already have pre-installed

drivers depending on factory defaults. If you need to install or re-install drivers, please follow the instructions as

described below:

Note: Drivers available for Microsoft® Windows® Operating System only (32 and 64bit). Linux Drivers pending.

1: From the “Drivers and Documentation DVD” (MEDIA STD-007 or higher) that are included in the package contents.

- Either attach a external DVD player or copy drivers from DVD onto USB Memory Stick using other computer and

insert the USB Memory Stick into the HT B22 computer and install drivers. Make sure you copy all files within

from these directories (including the folder names shown in green):

“Complete_DVD\Current_Products\Computers\Standard\

Drivers

\*” and

“Complete_DVD\Current_Products\Computers\Standard\

HTB22

\*”.

Your USB Memory Stick should now contain the following directories (example for D:\)

“D:\Drivers”

“D:\HTB22”

Execute “menu_run.exe” from within the “HTB22” directory.

Unpack (important) the .zip file onto a location on your storage device. Execute the “menu_run.exe”.

3: Click the “Install API Prerequisite”

package from Microsoft® and follow

their instructions.

4: Click the “Install Hatteland Display® API Drivers”

and follow the instructions.
