6 Operation of the machine

6.2 Production sequence
The Automatic Unit for joining the Side Seam, Series 1281/4 works semi-
automatic with high production speed. The operator of the machine has to:
• select the desired sewing program;
• align the fabrics correctly;
• sew the first part of the seam manually;
• start the automatic sewing;
• supervise the fault-free functioning of the machine.
The production sequence contains the following steps:
1. Align the trouser (or skirt) parts on the working table.
2. Clamp the parts with the mouse.
3. Insert the fabrics under the sewing foot just before the needle.
4. Sew manually over the pocket or the hip bow.
5. Separate the trouser (or skirt) parts with three fingers.
