Electrical Installation
Power IN
The system requires one (1) 15 amp, 120 VAC circuit;
2W + GND. A power cord is located inside the control
enclosure (Figure 13).
Note: Turn off power to the amplifier when not in
use (Figure 14). The amplifier should be turned off
after each game in order to extend the life of the
system and deter unauthorized use.
Grounding
Connect the sound system to earth ground. Proper grounding assures reliable equipment
operation and protects the equipment against damaging electrical disturbances and
lightning. Daktronics recommends a resistance-to-ground of 10 ohms or less. The electrical
contractor performing the electrical installation can verify ground resistance. Daktronics
Sales and Service personnel can also provide this service.
Note: The customer must properly ground the outlet according to local and national
codes. Failure to ground the outlet voids the sound system warranty.
Speaker Line OUT
IMPORTANT: Improper wiring will result in
damage to the internal circuitry of the product,
and pose a potential fire hazard!
SSN-100

Refer to Figure 15 and Detail “B” of
Drawing C-1152437.
2. Route the speaker cable in conduit from the control
enclosure to the rear of the speaker array and
terminate at the bottom terminal block (Figure 16).
3. Parallel the speaker cable from the bottom terminal
block of the speaker array to the top terminal block
as shown in the speaker termination detail of
Drawing C-1152437.
