CHAPTER 5

MAINTAINING THE DR LEAF AND LAWN VACUUM

Regular maintenance is the way to ensure the best performance and long life of your DR LEAF and LAWN
VACUUM. Please refer to this manual and the Engine Owner’s Manual for maintenance procedures.
Service intervals listed in the checklist below supercede those listed in the Engine Owner’s Manual.


WHEN PERFORMING ANY MAINTENANCE, YOU MUST FIRST SHUT OFF THE ENGINE, WAIT FIVE (5)
MINUTES FOR ALL PARTS TO STOP AND COOL AND DISCONNECT THE SPARK PLUG WIRE. READ THE
"SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS" SECTION OF THIS MANUAL BEFORE PERFORMING ANY REPAIRS OR
MAINTENANCE.

Regular Maintenance Checklist

NOTE: Consider that the service intervals shown to be maximum under normal operating conditions. Increase

frequencies under extremely dirty or dusty conditions.

Check Engine Oil Level

Check Blower Hoses for wear, holes, or
abraded areas.

Check the general condition of the machine,
e.g. nuts, bolts, welds, etc.

Make sure Engine Retaining Knobs are tight.

Check Tire Pressure to be 40 psi.

Clean Engine Air Filters

Change Engine Oil
