Lubrication

Your DR LEAF and LAWN VACUUM was lubricated at the Factory. The operator needs to provide
Engine lubrication, lubricate the Wheels periodically, and lubricate the Drive Belt Bearings*.
*Subaru Engine model only

WHEN PERFORMING ANY MAINTENANCE, YOU MUST FIRST SHUT OFF THE ENGINE, ALLOW FIVE (5)
MINUTES FOR PARTS TO COOL AND DISCONNECT THE SPARK PLUG WIRE.

Tools and Supplies Needed:

Grease gun with Multipurpose Automotive Grease

9/16" Socket and Wrench (Subaru Engine model)

1. Lubricate each Wheel (Figure 39a) with Multipurpose Automotive Grease using a grease gun on the

fitting.

2. For the Subaru Engine model only, remove the Belt Guard Top Cover by using a 9/16" Socket to remove

the four (4) 1/4" Bolts and Flat Washers that retain the Cover. There are two (2) Bolts on each end of
the Cover (Figures 48a

&

48b on page 44).

3. Lubricate each Bearing (Figure 39b) with Multipurpose Automotive Grease using a grease gun on the

fitting.

4. Replace the Drive Belt Top Cover.

5. Replace the Spark Plug Wire.
