Safety
instructions and
warnings
This machine complies with the current safety
regulations. Incorrect use of the machine may
cause harm.
Read the instructions carefully before using
the machine. They contain important infor-
mation on safety, use and maintenance, to
provide protection and to avoid damaging the
machine.
Correct use
• This machine is designed solely for prepar-
ing espresso, cappuccino and long coffee
and for boiling water for tea and other hot
drinks.
Other types of use are not permitted and
may prove dangerous. The manufacturer
will not be held liable for any damage caused
by incorrect use of the machine.
Technical safety
• Before connecting the machine to the elec-
tricity supply, check the connection data
(voltage and frequency) on the data sheet
with that of the electricity supply thoroughly.
This data should be exactly the same to
avoid damaging the machine. In case of
doubt, contact a qualified electrician.
• The electrical safety of the machine is only
guaranteed if it is connected to a regulation
earth wire. It is very important to check this
carefully. In case of doubt, have the elec-
tricity supply checked by a qualified electri-
cian. The manufacturer will not be held li-
able for any harm or damage caused due to
a lack or malfunctioning of the earth wire
(e.g. risk of electric shock).
• Only operate the machine when built-in so
as to avoid contact with the electric parts.
For the assembly, dismantling and daily
maintenance of the machine, always make
sure it is disconnected from the electricity
supply.
• The machine should not be connected to
the electricity supply with extension cables,
as these do not provide the necessary safety
for the machine (e.g. danger of overheat-
ing).
• The machine may also be built into a cabi-
net (special accessory). It is not suitable
for outdoor use. Due to the weight of the
machine, the cabinet must be secured firmly
to the wall.

Esta máquina respeta las normas de seguri-
dad vigentes. El uso incorrecto puede causar
daños a personas o cosas.
Leer atentamente las instruccionnes antes de
usar la máquina, ya que contienen indicacio-
nes muy importantes sobre la seguridad du-
rante el uso y el mantenimiento. De esta ma-
nera nos protegemos a nosotros mismos y, al
mismo tiempo, protegemos el aparato.
Uso correcto
• La máquina sirve solo para hacer el café
expreso, “cappuccino” y café largo (tipo
americano) además de agua hirviendo para
el té y otras bebidas calientes.
Si se usa la máquina para otros fines pue-
de ser peligroso. El fabricante declina toda
responsabilidad por daños causados por un
uso impropio o incorrecto de la máquina.
Seguridad técnica
• Antes de enchufar la máquina, controlar los
datos de la matrícula (tensión y frecuencia),
con los de la instalación eléctrica.
Dichos datos tienen que ser totalmente com-
patibles, si no, la máquina puede estropear-
se. En caso de duda, consultar una perso-
na competente.
• La seguridad eléctrica de la máquina puede
garantizarse solo si se usa la correspondien-
te toma a tierra. Es importantísimo realizar
este control, si existieran dudas, hacer con-
trolar la instalación eléctrica a un especia-
lista. El fabricante declina toda responsabi-
lidad por daños, ocasionados a personas o
cosas debido a la falta o mal funcionamien-
to de la toma a tierra (por ejemplo : riesgo
de electrocutación).
• Usar la máquina solo una vez empotrada
para evitar entrar en contacto con los com-
ponentes eléctricos. Para montarla, des-
montarla y cotidianos mantenimientos,
desenchufarla siempre.
• En la conexión de la máquina a la instala-
ción eléctrica no se puden usar cables de
prolongacion dado que no garantizan su
seguridad (por ejemplo: la máquina pue-
de calentarse excesivamente).
• La máquina puede empotrase en un mue-
ble columna (acesorio especial); y no se
puede usar al aire libre. Teniendo en cuen-
te el gran peso de la máquina, es indispen-
sable que el mueble este bien sujeto a la
pared.

Correct gebruik
• Dit toestel is uitsluitend geschikt voor de
bereiding van espressokoffie, cappuccino en
slappe koffie evenals voor de warm water
voor thee en andere warme dranken.
Het toestel is niet geschikt voor andere doel-
einden zodat er geen gevaar veroorzaakt
wordt. De fabrikant is niet verantwoordelijk
voor schade veroorzaakt door onjuist gebruik
van het toestel.
Technische veiligheid
• Voor men het toestel elektrisch aanschakelt,
controleert men best eerst of de aansluit-
gegevens (spanning en frequentie) die op
het gegevensplaatje vermeld staan, overeen-
komen met de vereiste gegevens van het
elektrisch toestel. Op die manier vermijdt
men schade aan het toestel.
In geval van twijfel contacteert men best een
bekwaam vakman.
• De elektrische veiligheid van het toestel
wordt enkel gegarandeerd indien het toestel
met een reglementaire schakelaar verbon-
den wordt. Het is heel belangrijk dat men
de basisvoorschriften volgt, in geval van twij-
fel, laat dan het elektrisch toestel controle-
ren door een bekwaam vakman. De fabri-
kant kan niet verantwoordelijk gesteld wor-
den voor eventuele schade aan personen of
voorwerpen door gebrek van of door een
foutieve schakelaar (bijvoorbeeld risico
tot elektrokutie)
• Schakel het toestel pas aan als het al inge-
bouwd is om te voorkomen dat men in con-
tact komt met elektrische onderdelen. Trek
altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact bij de
plaatsing, de verplaatsing en het dagelijks
onderhoud.
• Gebruik geen verlengkabels voor de elektri-
sche aansluiting van het toestel, omdat ze
niet veilig zijn (bijvoorbeeld
oververhittingsgevaar).
• Het toestel kan in een kolomkast (speciaal
keukenmeubel) ingebouwd worden; maar
het toestel is niet geschikt voor gebruik in
de open lucht. Het toestel is zwaar en moet
daarom stevig vastgemaakt worden aan de
muur.
