3 – Playback operations

The CD-RW750 can be used to play back CDs
(including CD-R and CD-RW discs that have been
recorded and finalized on other types of recorder), as

well as CD-R discs and CD-RW discs that have been
recorded on the unit.

When a disc is loaded into the unit, the display

, with a flashing

period following the word “Reading” as the unit
determines the contents of the disc. When the TOC
has been read, the display shows the total running
time of the disk, followed by the disc title (if the disc
contains CD TEXT information), followed by the
total running time.

If the title of the disc is more than 12 characters long
(a disc title can be up to 23 characters long), only the
first 12 characters are displayed.

The first 12 characters of the disc title are also shown
(for three seconds) when playback is stopped.

In stop mode, no digital output is possible (see “Input
monitoring” on page 18
).
