Clock output frequency setting

WOUT>

***

Sets the clock frequency output from the WORD OUT connector.

Options when the clock setting is “W_OUT”

44.1, 88.2, 176.4

44.1 kHz, 88.2 kHz or 176.4 kHz clock is output from the WORD OUT
connector.

22M

22.5792 MHz clock, which is 512 X 44.1 kHz, is output from the
WORD OUT connector.

< Audio signals that can be input when set to “44.1”, “88.2”, “176.4” or

“22M” are 44.1 kHz, 88.2 kHz, 176.4 kHz, 352.8 kHz and DSD.

48, 96, 192

48 kHz, 96 kHz or 192 kHz clock is output from the WORD OUT
connector.

24M

24.576 MHz clock, which is 512 X 48 kHz, is output from the WORD
OUT connector.

< Audio signals that can be input when set to “48”, “96”, “192” or “24M”

are 48 kHz, 96 kHz, 192 kHz and 384 kHz.

Options when the clock setting is “W_IN”, “10M_IN” or “MCK_
IN”

OFF

No clock is output from the WORD OUT connector.

THRU

The clock input through the WORD IN or 10M IN connector is
output without changing the frequency from the WORD OUT
connector.

< Even if a 0.5–1.0 Vrms level signal is input through the 10M IN,

output from the WORD OUT will be at TTL level.

1Fs

44.1 kHz or 48 kHz clock is output from the WORD OUT connector.

< 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz is determined depending on the frequency of

the clock or audio signal input.

2Fs

88.2 kHz or 96 kHz clock is output from the WORD OUT connector.

< 88.2 kHz or 96 kHz is determined depending on the frequency of

the clock or audio signal input.

4Fs

176.4 kHz or 192 kHz clock is output from the WORD OUT
connector.

< 176.4 kHz or 192 kHz clock is determined depending on the

frequency of the clock or audio signal input.

MCK

22.5792 MHz (512 X 44.1 kHz) or 24.576 MHz (512 X 48 kHz) clock is output
from the WORD OUT connector.

< 22.5792 MHz or 24.576 MHz is determined depending on the

frequency of the clock or audio signal input.

USB input setting

USB>

***

Set the USB mode when using USB input. Depending on this setting,
the sampling frequencies that can be input differs.
The factory default is “NOR”.

NOR

Connects at USB full-speed mode. The sampling frequencies that
can be input are 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, 88.2 kHz and 96 kHz.

< This setting does not require a driver to be installed to connect this

unit with a computer. Connection is possible with the standard
USB audio driver included with the computer OS.

HS_1

Connects at USB high-speed mode.
The sampling frequencies that can be input are 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 48
kHz, 88.2 kHz, 96 kHz, 176.4 kHz and 192 kHz.

HS_2

Connects at USB high-speed asynchronous mode.
The sampling frequencies that can be input are 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 48
kHz, 88.2 kHz, 96 kHz, 176.4 kHz and 192 kHz. In asynchronous
mode, audio data transmitted from a computer is played back
following this unit's clock.

< If the playback sound skips or noise occurs when using the “HS_2”

setting, switch to “HS_1”.

< Depending on the playback application on the computer, the

types of files, including their sampling frequencies, for example,
that can be played back will differ.

< Use of a high-speed mode requires the installation of a dedicated

driver on the computer. Download the driver from the following
web address.
