If you experience any problem with this unit, please take the time to
look through this chart and see if you can solve the problem yourself
before you call your dealer.
No power
e Check the connection to the AC power supply. Check and make
sure the AC source is not a switched outlet and that, if it is, the
switch is turned on.
e Make sure there is power to the AC outlet by plugging in another
item such as a lamp or fan.
There is no sound from the speakers or sound is distorted.
e Confirm the connections with the digital audio source device,
amplifier and speakers (see page 6).
e Change the input to correspond with the connector being used
(see page 8).
e Set the XLR output to correspond with the amplifier connection.
e Set the output setting appropriately when using i.LINK input.
When it is a stereo signal, no sound will be output if it is not set
to "L/R".
e Adjust the volume of the amplifier and other equipment.
Input indicator flashes.
e Turn the device connected to the selected input terminal on.
e Check whether the connection to the selected input terminal is
correct.
A beeping noise occurs at regular intervals.
e In word sync mode, if a "beeping" sound and cyclical noise
occurs from the speakers, connected equipment might not be in
word sync mode. Check the word sync connector connections
and the word sync settings of connected equipment.
e This phenomenon occurs when the error detected is below the
detection limit for D-02 word errors that would normally produce
a WRD ERROR.
The WORD indicator flashes.
e The Word sync mode is selected, but there is no clock source.
Turn the Word sync mode off.
e An incompatible signal is being input. Check Word sync
connections and the setup of the connected devices.

e If they are blinking simultaneously, it could be that this unit’s
input is set to DUAL, but two stereo signals are connected. Set
the source device output format correctly to DUAL.
e If they are blinking alternately, it could be that this unit’s input is
set to DUAL, but the left and right are connected to the wrong
L/R inputs. Check the connections.
If normal operation cannot be achieved, unplug the power
cord from the outlet and plug it in again after waiting a few
minutes. This resets the internal microcomputer which can be
disturbed during electrical storms, power interruptions, etc.

(a) All electrical and electronic equipment should be disposed
of separately from the municipal waste stream via collection
facilities designated by the government or local authorities.
(b) By disposing of electrical and electronic equipment correctly,
you will help save valuable resources and prevent any potential
negative effects on human health and the environment.
(c) Improper disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment
can have serious effects on the environment and human
health because of the presence of hazardous substances in the
equipment.
(d) The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)
symbol, which shows a wheeled bin that has been
crossed out, indicates that electrical and electronic
equipment must be collected and disposed of
separately from household waste.
(e) Return and collection systems are available to end users. For
more detailed information about the disposal of old electrical
and electronic equipment, please contact your city office,
waste disposal service or the shop where you purchased the
equipment.

(a) Waste batteries and/or accumulators should be disposed of

If a battery or accumulator contains more than the
specified values of lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), and/or cadmium
(Cd) as defined in the Battery Directive (2006/66/EC), then
the chemical symbols for those elements will be indicated
beneath the WEEE symbol.
(e) Return and collection systems are available to end users.
