6.4.4 Checking the Surge Arrester

Additional maintenance material that is required but not included in the scope of delivery:
☐ A surge arrester testing device approved by the manufacturer of the surge arrester such as the
PM20 by DEHN + SÖHNE GmbH + Co. KG.
2. Check whether the ready indicator is red.
If the ready indicator on the surge arrester is red, replace the surge arrester.
– Remove the cables. Mark the cables in the process. They must be connected to the same
terminals again later.
