This chapter describes how to set up your computer.

Ensuring proper ventilation

Proper ventilation for the system is important for computer operation. Follow these guidelines.

Operate the computer on a sturdy, level surface.

Provide at least 15.24 cm (6.00 in) of clearance at the front and back of the computer. (This distance is

the minimum for all computer models.)

NOTE:

Your computer might look slightly different from the illustration in this section.

Be sure that the ambient air temperature is within specified limits. To locate specifications for your

computer, see

Product specifications on page 7

For cabinet installation, ensure adequate cabinet ventilation and be sure that the ambient temperature

within the cabinet does not exceed specified limits.

Never restrict the incoming or outgoing airflow of the computer by blocking any vents or air intakes.

Mounting the computer

The computer can be attached to a wall, swing arm, or other mounting fixture.
