This chapter describes how to set up your computer.
Ensuring proper ventilation
Proper ventilation for the system is important for computer operation. Follow these guidelines.
● Operate the computer on a sturdy, level surface.
● Provide at least 15.24 cm (6.00 in) of clearance at the front and back of the computer. (This distance is
the minimum for all computer models.)
NOTE: Your computer might look slightly different from the illustration in this section.
● Be sure that the ambient air temperature is within specified limits. To locate specifications for your
computer, see Product specifications on page 7 .
● For cabinet installation, ensure adequate cabinet ventilation and be sure that the ambient temperature
within the cabinet does not exceed specified limits.
● Never restrict the incoming or outgoing airflow of the computer by blocking any vents or air intakes.
Mounting the computer
The computer can be attached to a wall, swing arm, or other mounting fixture.
