Redial Failed Attempts to redial a fax number failed. Try resending the fax. If the fax still fails
to transmit, call the recipient to make
sure that the fax machine is on and
ready.
Make sure that you are dialing the
correct fax number.
Disconnect the telephone cord from
both the product and the wall outlet and
then reconnect it.
Press and hold down
S TOP /C LEAR for 7
seconds to check for a dial tone.
Make sure the phone line is working by
disconnecting the HP LaserJet 3100/
3150 product, plugging in a telephone to
the phone line, and making a voice call.
Connect the product to a different phone
line.
If the error persists, see Chapter 6,
“Troubleshooting.”
Remote Fax was
Busy The fax number dialed was busy. Try again later.
Scan Reference
Error There was an error detected in the HP
LaserJet 3100/3150 product. Recalibrate the document scanner.
Scanner Error #1 An error has occurred in the SRAM. Press and hold down the S TOP /C LEAR
key for 7 seconds to reset the product.
If the error persists, unplug the power
cord from its power source for 10
seconds, and then replug it in.
Try connecting the product to a different
power source.
If the error persists, see Chapter 6,
“Troubleshooting.”
Scanner isn’t
Available The document scanner mechanism is in
use. Wait until the document scanner has
finished the current job before sending
the next job.
Scanner Jam -
Reload A document has jammed in the document
scanner area. Pull open the document release door
and then remove the jammed document.
