Trunk Configuration Options

There are three trunk configuration types from which to select:

Configuring Port Trunks from the Switch Console

Important Note.

Use this procedure to configure port trunking before you

connect the trunked links between switches. Otherwise, a broadcast storm
could occur. (If you need to connect the ports before configuring them for
trunking, you can use the Port Settings feature—page 6-30—to temporarily
disable the ports until the trunk is configured.)

To Access Port Trunking:
