The
iCk
process
performs various jobs that fall into the category of “integrity”
checks. It is driven by an ASCII file containing rules describing the checks
desired to be performed. Its primary job is to run as a daemon process,
started by init, and to perform the specified jobs at the intervals specified by
the rules. Its secondary job is to serve as a command interface to a human
user and convey commands to the iCk
process which is running as a
daemon process.
