Show Cam Command

Use the

show cam

command to display the CAM table or a specific MAC.

The syntax for this command is:

show cam slot_num | port_num

show cam mac mac_addr [vlan]

Example:

To display dynamic CAM entries for all VLANs:

Console> show cam

Total Matching CAM Entries Displayed = 7

Console>

This example shows routers listed as the CAM entries. When the MAC address
belongs to a router, it is shown by appending an "R" to the MAC address. When a
VLAN is specified, only those CAM entries matching the VLAN number are
displayed.

Console> show cam mac 00-00-81-01-23-45

Total Matching CAM Entries = 1

Console>

vlan

(Optional) Number of the VLAN. If a VLAN is not specified, all
VLANs are displayed.

slot_num

Module number (always 1)

port_num

Number of the port.

mac_addr

MAC address.
