Base "X"

1. The handset is out of range of the base station or the base station's range has changed because

eco mode is active.

Move the handset closer to the base station.

If necessary, deactivate eco mode (page 25).

2. The handset has been de-registered.

Register the handset (page 100).

3. The base station is not turned on.

Check the base station's mains adapter (page 15).

4. An update of the base station firmware is currently being conducted (page 117/page 159).

Handset does not ring.

Activate the ringer tone (page 112).

Deactivate call forwarding (fixed line network page 45; VoIP page 46/page 146).

You cannot hear a ringer/dialling tone from the fixed line network.
The phone cord supplied has not been used or has been replaced by a new cord with the wrong jack

pin connections.

When purchasing a new cord, ensure that it has the correct pin connections (page 17).

Error tone sounds after system PIN prompt.
You have entered the wrong system PIN.

Enter system PIN if required.

Have you forgotten the system PIN?

Carry out a reset on the base station to set the system PIN back to 0000 (page 116).

The other party cannot hear you.
You have pressed the

(INT) key. The handset is "muted".

Activate the microphone again (page 37).

When making calls from the fixed line network, the caller's phone number is not displayed

although CLIP (page 34) is set.
Calling Line Identification is not enabled.

The caller should ask his network provider to enable Calling Line Identification (CLI).

You hear an error tone when keying an input (a descending tone sequence).
Action has failed/invalid input.

Repeat the operation.
