The image quality depends on the connecting
jack. Refer to the illustration that follows.
Select the connection according to the jacks on
your components.

* When VIDEO CONVERT is set to “ON” in the CUSTOMIZE menu (page 71), only 480i/576i component

video input signals are output. Component input video signals of 480p/576p, 720p and 1080i are not output
correctly. The component video input signals output from the COMPONENT VIDEO MONITOR OUT jack
will be output as is when VIDEO CONVERT is set to “OFF”.

Notes

• Connect image display components such as a TV

monitor or a projector to the MONITOR OUT jack
on the receiver. You may not be able to record, even
if you connect the recording components.

• Turn on the receiver when the video and audio of a

playback component are being output to a TV through
the receiver. If the power supply of the receiver is not
on, neither video nor audio is transmitted.

Function for conversion of
video signals

This receiver is equipped with a function for
converting video signals. You can output the
video signal after connecting this receiver via

the MONITOR OUT jack as shown in the
illustration.
• Video signals can be output as HDMI video,

component video and S-video signals.

• S-video signals can be output as HDMI

video, component video and video signals.

• Component video signals can be output as

HDMI video, S-video and video signals.

You can switch the function for converting
video signals in VIDEO CONVERT (page
71). The initial setting is “ON.” When VIDEO
CONVERT is set to “OFF,” the video signals
are not converted.
