Note –

Keyboard, mouse and video are optional with an operating system that

supports headless operation.

4. Connect a terminal to the serial port.

Note –

The preinstall image is directed by default to the serial port (ttya) and

nothing will show up on the monitor until the installation is completed an the
system is reconfigured to allow video to the video port. See

for instructions on setting up serial console

redirection and redirecting video back to the onboard video display, if needed.

5. Connect Ethernet cables to the server’s gigabit Ethernet connectors.

6. Connect any additional external devices to the server’s other connectors.
