Basic measures to protect against the

discharge of static electricity

Ensure sufficient grounding

When working with electrostatic sensitive devices, make sure that the you, your
workstation, and the packaging are properly grounded. This prevents the accu-
mulation of static electricity.

Avoid direct contact

You should only touch ESD components if this is unavoidable (for example, dur-
ing maintenance work). Handle the modules without touching any chip pins or
PCB traces. If you follow these instructions, electrostatic discharge cannot reach
or damage sensitive components.

If you have to take measurements on a module, make sure that you first discharge
any static that may have accumulated in your body. To do this, touch a grounded
metal object. Only use grounded measuring instruments.
