Error Correction

When error correction mode is enabled, it eliminates data that is lost due to poor phone lines by detecting
errors that occur during transmission and automatically requesting re-transmission of the erroneous
portion. On poor phone lines, error correction mode increases sending time, but sends the data much more
reliably. The default setting is Off. Turn error correction On only if you can accept poorer quality faxes. If
you turn error correction On, this only affects black-and-white faxes that you send; it does not affect faxes
that your receive. If you are having problems sending faxes, you can also adjust the fax speed to see if this
solves the problem. For more information on fax speed, see Fax Speed.
