Connecting a component video device

To connect a component video device:

1 Make sure that your TV/Blu-ray combo’s power

cord is unplugged and the component video
device is turned off.

2 Connect a component video cable to the

COMPONENT1 INPUT (Y, PB, PR) or
COMPONENT2 INPUT jacks on the back of your
TV/Blu-ray combo and to the corresponding
COMPONENT OUT jacks on the component
video device.

3 Connect an audio cable to the COMPONENT1

INPUT AUDIO L and R or COMPONENT2 INPUT
AUDIO L
and R jacks on the back of your
TV/Blu-ray combo and to the COMPONENT
AUDIO OUT
jacks on the component video
device.

4 Turn on your TV/Blu-ray combo, then turn on

the component video device.

5 Press INPUT to open the source list, press

INPUT repeatedly or press or to highlight
Component-1 or Component-2, then
press ENTER.

Connecting an S-Video device

To connect an S-Video device:

1 Make sure that your TV/Blu-ray combo’s power

cord is unplugged and the S-Video device is
turned off.

2 Connect an S-Video cable to the AV INPUT

S-VIDEO jack on the back of your
TV/Blu-ray combo and to the S-VIDEO OUT jack
on the S-Video device.

3 Connect an audio cable to the AV INPUT AUDIO

L and R audio jacks on the back of your
TV/Blu-ray combo and to the AUDIO OUT jacks
on the S-Video device.

4 Turn on your TV/Blu-ray combo, then turn on

the S-Video device.

5 Press INPUT to open the source list, press

INPUT repeatedly or press or to highlight
AV, then press ENTER.

Component video device

Cables are often color-coded to
match color-coded jacks.

Note

The AV INPUT S-VIDEO jack and the AV INPUT
VIDEO jack share the AV INPUT AUDIO L and R jacks.
If you have devices connected to both video jacks,
the S-VIDEO jack controls the audio jacks.

Cables are often color-coded
to match color-coded jacks.
Connect red to red and
white to white.
