Remote Operation (KX-FT78 only) Operating from a remote location
You can call your unit from a remote
location and access the answering device.
Important:
L Program the remote operation ID
beforehand (feature #11 on page 71).
L Set the unit to TAD/FAX mode before
going out (page 57).
L Use a touch tone telephone for
remote operations.
Helpful hint:
L Please cut off or make a copy of the card
on page 65, and carry the card when you
go out.
L When you press a key, press firmly.
L Press the remote command key within
10 seconds.
Listening to recorded
messages

Call your unit.

Press the remote operation ID during
the TAD/FAX greeting message.

Start remote operations.
When there are new recorded
messages
1. A long beep will sound.
2. Short beep(s) will sound up to 8
times.
L This indicates the number of new
messages.
3. New messages will be played back.
When there are no new messages
A short beep will not sound.
1. Wait for 4 seconds or press {5}.
2. All the recorded messages will be
played back.
Remote operations using
the remote command key
{ 1}: repeats a message. If you press this
key within 5 seconds of the beginning of a
message, the previous message will be
played.
{ 2}: skips a message.
{ 4}: repeats only the new messages.
{ 5}: plays back all the messages.
Note:
L When voice memory of your unit is full,
erase unnecessary messages.
