Cleaning Requirements
Interior Cleaning
Over time, particles of paper and ink accumulate inside impact printers. This
is normal. Paper dust and ink build-up must be periodically removed to avoid
degraded print quality. Most paper dust accumulates around the ends of the
platen and ribbon path.

To clean the interior of the printer perform the following steps.
1.
Power off the printer and unplug the printer power cord.
2.
Open the printer cover.
3.
Fully raise the forms thickness lever.
4.
Unload the paper.
5.
Unlatch both ribbon spools and carefully lift them off the hubs.
