U NPACKING
Follow these steps to safely unpack the printer:
1.
Open the top cover of the shipping box.
2. Remove the optional 2nd Tray box (if you have the
4650NX model) and remove the QuickStart poster.
3. Open the inner printer box and remove the Accessory kit
and Starter kit.
4. Turn the large plastic box screws at the bottom of the box
to the left (A) and pull them out (B).
5. Using your thumb and finger, remove the plastic screw
sleeves from the box (C).
6. Lift off the outer box (D).
7. Open the plastic bag that contains the printer and slide it
down.
8. With one person on each side of the printer, grasp the
printer at the hand grips where they are exposed by
notches in the foam padding (E).
9. Lift the printer and place it on a sturdy, level surface.
If you are setting up a 4650NX printer unpack the
optional 250-sheet Tray and attach it first before
installing anything inside the printer!

follow the special packing
instructions in Appendix D to
safeguard internal components.
Caution! The printer and packaging
weigh approximately 100lbs. To set up the
printer and move it requires two adults.
