FEATURES
O VERVIEW
The NEC SuperScript™ 4650 Series color laser printer is the
best value today for fast color and monochrome printing. It
delivers high resolution color output for outstanding
business presentations. It also offers web-based printing
technology through its innovative PrintAgent, first
introduced with NEC’s SuperScript 4400. PrintAgent allows
you to send print jobs anywhere, whether across the building
or across the country! The following section reviews
enhancements and options that will make this printer the
busiest machine in your office.
SuperScript 4650 Series Highlights
• Prints 4 plus color pages or 16 monochrome pages per
minute.
• With PostScript 3 or PCL5e printing languages, you can
print almost anything. The printer automatically selects
the appropriate printer language for incoming jobs.
(PCL5e is not available for the 4650 model).
note: For color printing, you must have the PostScript 3
printer driver loaded on your system. The PCL5e printer
driver is for monochrome printing only.
• 600 x 600 dpi printing is standard
• 1200x1200 dpi printing is standard (with 96MB RAM)
• 200 MHz processor speeds up the rendering of complex
graphic documents
• 128 MB of RAM standard, extendable to 256MB for
4650NX model
• 96 MB of RAM standard, extendable to 256MB for 4650N
model
• 32 MB of RAM standard, extendable to 256MB for 4650
model
SuperScript 4650N and 4650NX
Enhancements
With the SuperScript 4650N and 4650NX, you can take
advantage of the latest printing technology.

SCSI port supports optional scanner and Zip drive
features.
• 2.1 GB internal hard disk for storing fonts, scanned
images, and spooled files for 4650N and 4650NX models
• Advanced PostScript spooling features enabled by the
built in hard disk. Features include collation, send one—
print multiple copies, and on-demand printing from an
externally connected Zip
® drive.
• The printer’s home page provides access to web-based
printing software, online help, and other features.
• Using NEC’s PrintAgent™ software, configuration and
monitoring can be done from your workstation.
• Supports traditional network printing over NetWare ® ,
TCP/IP, EtherTalk and above, Windows NT 4.0,
Windows 2000, Windows 98, Windows 95, Windows
3.1x, and NetBEUI/NetBIOS
